Do RED-i services cost money?
No, all RED-i services are free to registered student organizations at NC State and are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Submit a project request to get started.
What classifies as a student organization?
Student organizations are registered through the Student Leadership and Engagement Get Involved website.
Can NC State departments/units use RED-i services?
No, RED-i exclusively serves NC State student organizations. DASA departments/units should reach out to DASA MarComm for marketing and communications support.
I am a student, can RED-i help me with a school project?
No, RED-i can not assist with school or personal projects.
Does RED-i offer printing services?
No, RED-i does not offer printing services, but will prepare print-ready files for you as needed. Check out Wolf Xpress for a convenient, on-campus printing service.
Can RED-i use an existing logo in a design?
If your student organization already has a logo, we can include it in a design.
If your organization has an official trademarked logo and brand, we will request to see the organization brand guidelines before moving forward with the design process.
Where can photography/videography shoots take place?
Photography and videography shoots must happen on campus. Requests for shoots off campus are not accepted.
Can I request a certain photographer?
Yes, however, we cannot guarantee individual staff’s availability.
Does RED-i offer livestreaming services?
No. However, we provide event recording services, where a camera is set up to capture the event in its entirety from one spot, which your organization can use following the event date.
What is the turnaround time for projects?
Project timelines are determined on a case-by-case basis and are based on schedules, availability and scope of work.
Requests should be submitted with as much notice as possible, with a minimum of two weeks prior to events needing photography/videography services.
How are projects delivered?
Final project files are delivered through a shared Google Drive and will be available for one week. Please download your files when they are received, as they will be removed from Google Drive after one week.
Graphic design files are delivered as PNG, PDF and/or SVG vectors, as needed. Raw (Adobe) project files are not shared.
Photography and videography files are delivered as edited images or fully produced videos. Raw, unedited photographs and videos will not be shared.
